A couple of weeks ago I wrote an email to the woman who schedules classes at HUC, asking that all my classes in spring be on the first floor. The classroom building has no handicapped access to the second floor, and it's getting harder and harder to lug my backpack up the stairs.
Today she sent out the schedule to everyone, complete with rooms. And YAY! She granted my request. :)

Kudos to her!...and blessings.

Awwwww, that makes me feel good. I'm glad you're putting your needs out there and someone's got your back!
Mom
the classroom building has no handicapped access!? the bima in the HUC-NY chapel isn't handicap accessible either. oy.
Savta and Mom, I think so too.
And Nicole... oy squared. We train the leaders of the future, huh? Scary.
and they did a major renovation of the classroom building not that long ago. I think that's when they made the 1st floor accessible - I guess they decided one floor was enough :-P
Sheryl, it's not NICE to make me snort water through my nose! Well, I guess it IS easier to put a single ramp to the first floor, and ignore that whole elevator concept...
