The honey-do list that never ends

Our front lock broke, so last night, Jonathan spent a good portion of the evening installing a new one. Tonight we painted the back porch (and got eaten alive by mosquitoes, I might add). Before that it was moving the huge ladder that was collecting dirt and bugs outside, before that it was trimming the bushes so they don't overhang the driveway, and before that it was cleaning the gutters.

There seem to be two seasons to homeownership in Cincinnati: winter, and construction. Who knew that the latter season would be so much work?!

Quick poll: what is your most hated house/apartment upkeep chore?

Welcome to home ownership....PERIOD! But it IS a terrific club in which to be a member.

In Chicago, it was painting interior walls which was necessary every year -- or two at most-- because the radiators blackened walls and ceilings relentlessly.
In California, it was a chore cleaning up the barbecue grill. In Israel, it's switching clothes and bedding from summer-to-winter and back again...and again...and again!

Oh yuck Savta, living in Chicago in those days does NOT sound fun! I actually miss the BBQ problem. And that whole switching clothes and bedding thing? I so feel your pain!
