Thunderstorms

The house just literally shook from lightning. It was probably less than a mile away. I've never seen a cat cower before! I picked up Simcha, since Osher is plastered to the window, and I started singing "Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on Simchas." It may not have done anything for him, but Jonathan at least laughed. :)

Oh, Michal! Your response to that stormy excess-stress came directly from your maternal recesses. Julie Andrews to the rescue!! Right, Janet?? Ruby Bubis would agree!

Don't know who Ruby Bubis is, but yes, I was having childhood flashbacks. :)

After growing up with those kinds of thunderstorms, I was amazed when I moved out here how much people freaked out when it started drizzling (which they called raining and/or pouring). I figure if you can still see the car ahead of you on the road, its "raining" - if you can't see it, it's "pouring" Remember to keep candles and flashlights around too for when the power goes out. Its pretty common for a tree to fall over a power line and cut off the electricity for a neighborhood or 2.
